In the last dev standups meeting, we discussed adding a preloader to the web pages. Because some pages are consuming some time to load the data to the site, especially after replacing the JSON files. So for that, I worked with that preloader thing. I found out some gifs for preloaders. Can you guys choose one from below @akshika47 @EngTeam

I created an issue for the preloader thing
@Gajindu_Bandara can you make your choices a poll? So people can pick their best or the ones they like?
Vote for a gif from the above list

So I guess we have to choose one preloader among the top two .
Guys, please vote again to chose one from the below @EngTeam @akshika47

Then I’ll use “B” as the selected preloader to the site
I know this is overdue. To be honest, I don’t like animations. The most appropriate way is displaying a skeleton. But we don’t need to make it much complex. A simple “Loading…” text seems professional than using animation for me. Just my 2 cents.
Also I saw that it was a full page animation in your Pull Request.. Adding the loader within only the loading area would better instead of displaying a full page because it breaks breaks the flow when switching between pages.
A good study : https://uxdesign.cc/what-you-should-know-about-skeleton-screens-a820c45a571a?gi=bd3aa11ba5d4

Then I’ll use "Loading… " for the relevant sections on the page without using the full page preloader. But until the profiles are loaded the page only shows the topics and “Loading…” marks in the relevant sections. Is it ok ?? @jaye
I agree with @jaye here!
As everyone requested to use skeleton loading profiles rather than using a full-screen preloader animation, I worked on that and came up with a solution and demonstrated it at the last dev team weekly standups meeting and did some corrections as requested in that meeting , So this is the final view.WDYT??? @akshika47 @EngTeam
This is next level!!!
Is this ok or is there anything to be improved
Shall we remove the smaller lines from the skeleton? The simpler, the better.
Yeah! love this Gajindu and agree with Jaye’s comments as well.
Ok! I’ll remove them
