We need to add emailing feature for the platform. There will be different kinds of scenarios that we might be needed to send emails to. I’ll be listing the scenarios in this thread.
Here are the scenarios I found.
Mentor
- After Mentor send his application
- When the program reaches
MENTOR_SELECTIONperiod - Mentor get Approved
- Mentor get rejected
- When the program reaches
MENTEE_SELECTIONperiod so he can start selecting mentees.
Mentee
- After Mentee send his application
- When the program reaches
MENTEE_SELECTIONperiod - Mentee get Approved by a mentor
- Mentee get rejected

Excellent job @anjisvj. I have few suggestions,
We can remove the above scenarios from the list. When a mentor, mentee applies in that application email itself we can mention when we will start reviewing and when we will end (since these dates are pre planned).
Reason for the suggestion was, it seems like the above data should be a part in the application mail itself and if the data is in the application email no need to bother users with new mails.
This might need to change since we are planning to change the approach we are gonna take to select mentees.
So keep this optional for now. We will update you in the near future.
Also few more suggested scenarios,
- Mentees should receive a mail on
MENTOR_CONFIRMATIONperiod with a list of mentors he/she got selected to. - Finalised mails needs to be sent to both mentor and mentee after all the selection periods end.
- Mentor - email with details of the finalised list of mentees.
- Mentee - email with details of the finalised mentor.

@anjisvj no need to worry about the email subject/content. After the current sprint we can demo to the team and get SholarX team involved for the task to get the data.

I asked a question on StackOverflow and I got an answer. Now It works! But it takes so much time to complete the request.
