Continuing the discussion we had on today’s design call…
Considering the requirements for ScholarX, it seems that AntDesign is not the best fit. Therefore, we should explore other options that meet the following criteria:
- Minimal dependencies that do not dictate the app
- Should not limit the ability to have custom designs or components
- Easily customizable
- Can be used in open-source projects
- Provides a set of a set of examples (so that developers can save time and will help to maintain design consistency)
- Optional: Figma design
One option that I can recommend is using Tailwind and selecting a collection of examples such as HyperUI.
The reason for suggesting Tailwind is that it stays quite close to traditional CSS. Anyone proficient in CSS can easily use it, and it is highly customizable. HyperUI is simply a set of examples of usage of Tailwind and not a dependency.
