# Implementing new program state "Mentor-Confirmation" in Change State UI

Hi all,  
Currently, we have 6 program states.

```
1. Created
2. Mentor Application Period
3. Mentor Selection Period
4. Mentee Application Period
5. Mentee Selection Period
6. Ongoing Program

```

But there’ll be some issues if we have only 6 program states. As an example,  
_If a mentee gets approved by multiple mentors it would mess the process._

To overcome this problem we thought to introduce a new program state called **Mentor Confirmation Period**.

In this program state, if a mentee gets chosen by multiple mentors, the mentee gets to choose any mentor he wishes.

After implementing this new program state there’ll be 7 program states.

```
1. Created
2. Mentor Application Period
3. Mentor Selection Period
4. Mentee Application Period
5. Mentee Selection Period
6. Mentor Confirmation Period
7. Ongoing Program

```

I’ll be adding this new program state to Change State UI in the dashboard.
